Cemetery of the Innocents
On March 3, 2006, more than 50 people gathered at the grounds of the Mission Nombre de Dios in Saint Augustine to erect 4000 wooden crosses. Each cross represents a child murdered today by abortion. Participants of all ages worked tirelessly to set up the cemetery, a reminder to all who visit the Mission grounds, and to all who pass it, of the reality of abortion. More than 4000 infants are aborted each day in the United States.
