Bad News AND Excellent News

First the bad, the good, then the excellent news.

The bad news:

Florida continues to be among the worst states in regards to abortion and STDs. Planned Parenthood continues to be the leading abortion advocate. They advocate abortion rights for everyone, no matter the age. Planned Parenthood fought the Florida Abortion Parental Notification Act. One of their Florida directors said, "Planned Parenthood believes that it is wrong to force a minor to confide in a parent". The nearest abortion center to St. Augustine is the Jacksonville Beaches Planned Parenthood office. This center has recently relocated into a much larger and more insulated location two blocks from their previous office. I will leave it up to you to discern as to why they would make this move.

The GOOD news:

Throughout the country we have seen that abortion centers often shut down when a Pro-Life clinic opens next door to them.

The MOST EXCELLENT news:

A few of us who value life have decided that Planned Parenthood does not belong here. We have been having prayer vigils most Sunday nights seeking the closure of the abortion clinic and the change of hearts of the physicians and other employees of Planned Parenthood. We have decided to open a Pro-Life Crisis Pregnancy Center next door to the Beaches Planned Parenthood Office. We have been working constantly towards this effort. It seems as if every step we have taken has been guided by God, as everything has fallen perfectly into place.

We have presented our project to EPS (a critical pregnancy center associated with St. Vincent's Hospital). Our offer to them is: we supply the place, the manpower and the money - they supply the knowledge and experience. We will have a final ok within two weeks and expect to open the center before the end of the year.

This is going to take a lot of prayer and money.

We are asking for your prayers and a pledge of a financial commitment.

Please let me know how much we can expect from you, as we need this information in order to plan our budget.
